Winger scores pair of Top-10 finishes with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Swainsboro
Ashton Winger was one of 29 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Late Models at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Southern Showcase.
Topping his qualifying group, Winger started the $5,000-to-win opener from the outside pole and led the first six laps before smacking the wall and losing his spoiler. Battling a ill-handling racecar, Ashton slipped to seventh.
Grabbing a transfer spot in his heat race on Saturday, Ashton started the 50-lap main event from 13th and gained three positions to finish 10th.
Winger is currently seventh in the HTFSDS point standings.
