Ashton Winger fifth with Crate Racin' USA at Rome Speedway
Ashton Winger made his lone start of the weekend on Saturday afternoon with the Crate Racin’ USA at Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.) for the Thunder in the Mountain.
With a second-place finish in his heat race positioning him on the fifth row for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Winger weaved forward five positions in the 50-lapper to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Dillon Brown, Chip Brindle, Ronnie Johnson, and Mark Whitener to the checkers.
