Runner-up finish at Friendship Motor Speedway

Friday night found Ashton Winger in action at Friendship Motor Speedway (Elkin, N.C.) piloting the Team 22 Inc. No. 89 Late Model for the North Carolina State Championship. With his time trial effort locking him into the fourth-starting position for Saturday’s $10,500-to-win A-Main, Winger improved two spots in the 50-lapper to register a second-place finish.
