Friday night found Ashton Winger in action at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) powering his Johnny Doan Plumbing No. 12 Super Late Model for the Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Championship sanctioned program. With the second fastest lap in his qualifying group setting him on the second row for the feature, Winger snuck past race-leader Michael Chilton following a restart on lap-17 and navigated through lapped traffic in the final 13 circuits to capture his third win of the season and a $3,000 payday. Following the series to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Saturday, Winger laid down the fastest lap overall in time trials which positioned him second on the starting grid for the A-Main. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Winger led wire-to-wire en route to his fourth win of the season over Cory Hedgecock, Donald McIntosh, Connor Meade, and David Crabtree.
