July 27, 2019 - Winger Lands Top 5 Finish in PDC Prelim at Fairbury Speedway
On Thursday night Ashton Winger was one of 72 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries signed in at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) kicking off the 30th annual Prairie Dirt Classic. Recording the second fastest lap overall in his time trial group behind Mike Marlar, Winger locked into the pole position for his $2,500-to-win preliminary feature. With the top four spots locking into the main event on Saturday evening, Ashton scored a 5th place finish behind Shane Clanton, Billy Drake, Ricky Weiss, and Kent Robinson. (Heath Lawson photo)

1Starting on the pole of his B-Main on Saturday, Winger cruised to a 20-lap consolation victory securing his spot into the $30,000-to-win finale. Rolling off 17th, Ashton Winger dropped two spots in the 100-lap affair to place 19th.

July 16, 2019 - 4th Place Finish with Southern Nationals at Smoky Mountain
Tuesday evening found Ashton Winger in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) returning behind the wheel of the Billy Franklin-owned No. 17 Super Late Model for the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals sanctioned contest. Timing in third fastest in his group, Winger earned the 6th-starting position for the $3,500-to-win A-Main. Jumping up two spots, Ashton scored a 4th place finish behind Brandon Overton, Michael Chilton, and Donald McIntosh with Dakotah Knuckles coming in 5th. (Michael Moats photo)

July 6, 2019 - Ashton Winger Scores a Pair of 2nd Place Finishes
1On Wednesday night Ashton Winger kicked off the Independence Day Weekend competing in a field of 24 Super Late Models at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama). Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the feature, Winger scored a runner-up spot behind Dallas Cooper with Tim Bush, Ryan King, and Josh Adkins trailing them to the checkers.

After Mother Nature won Friday’s program at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee), Winger returned to action on Saturday for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned July Fourth Spectacular 40 at Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tennessee). Piloting the Billy Franklin-owned No. 17 entry, Winger locked into the 5th-starting spot for the feature via qualifying after threatening rain forced officials to eliminate heats. Jumping up three spots in the rain-shortened 38-lap affair, Ashton Winger notched a 2nd place finish behind Dane Dacus with Riley Hickman, Josh Putnam, and David Breazeale rounding out the Top-5.
